Chris Lee was born in a traditional Chinese Pastry making family. Since young he has developed interest in the traditional Chinese pastries making, his passion grew as he grew older. After graduating from a University of Exeter in 1995, he resolutely gave up accounting profession to join the family business - Lian Bee Bakery and partnered his brother Lee Sack Choon to develop the family business. Afterwards, the brothers joined forces with Sack Choon taking care of production and Chris in charge marketing. With the support of their brother-in-Tan Yoke Kee, Chris began to boldly carry out a series of reform to the company including business model, market strategy, production technologies, packaging design, etc. Lian Bee business territory expanded rapidly to the entire peninsula of Malaysia through their franchasing program. At their prime time Lian Bee operated 35outlets across the country under the brand of Bee's Bakery. On the other hand, revenues from mooncakes had also grew in expodential rate through their succesful strategy of OEM manufacturing and exporting paste to oversea market, it has also become the top three mooncake manufacturers through exporting mooncake paste to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, the United Kingdom and other places.
It is difficult to start a business but then maintaining a business is even harder. In 2009, some companies' visionary plans led to stagnant development due to unfavorable environmental factors. Since then, the company's performance began to decline and fell into a trough, and the company's talent began to flow out. But after years of keeping a low profile, the burden of revitalizing Lian Bee Bakery falls on the shoulder of Chris. Combining the experience of more than 20 years, Lian Bee future development plan will focus all the resources on the core strengths of Lian Bee business ie :moon cakes, Chinese wedding pastries, Tau Sa Pia and traditinal Sesame Rice Puff. Taking advantage of the popularity accumulated over the past 59 years to open up a new blue ocean. The first project -the Klang Jalan Goh Hock Huat Headquarter will be refurbished in March next year. The production of Chinese Pastries will be moved to HQ and freshly bake to attract more customers! We have never forgotten the original mission of the founder, our late father Lee Chwee Chiang, to inherit the traditional food culture and continue to carry forward the excellent Chinese Pastries.

Chris李鍚穩出生在一個傳統糕餅店,從小就耳濡目染接觸傳統中式糕餅的制造工藝,也因此就種下對傳統中華美食的興趣。1995年從英國大學畢業之後,毅然放棄會計專業的領域加入家族生意-聯美餅家與二哥李錫循準備大展拳腳。之後兄弟倆合作一主內一主外在姐夫陳玉枝的扶持下,厲精圖治開始大膽進行一系例改革,從營業模式,市場策略,生産設備,包裝設計等等,而且以加盟店的方式把事業版圖擴展至整個大馬半島。在月餅這一塊也透過OEM代工的方式和及金翡翠蓮蓉餡出口台灣,香港,印尼,新加坡,英國等地一躍成為三大月餅生産商。
創業難守業更難,2009年一些公司的宏願規劃在不利的大環境因素下導至發展滯洩,從此公司業績開始走下玻跌入低谷,公司人材也開始外流。但經過這幾年的韜光養晦,重振聯美餅家的重擔落在Chris的身上.
集合這二十幾年的經驗,未來的發展計劃會把所有的資源集中於主打聯美一直以來的強點,月餅,結婚禮餅,豆沙餅及蔴粩。利用近一甲子歲月累積下來的知名度重新開拓新的藍海。預計將於明年三月重新翻新巴生吳福發總店以前店後工廠,現烤現賣的方式吸引更多的顧客!
我們從沒忘了創辦人李水漳的初心-傳承傳統美食文化,堅持繼續把優良的中華糕餅發揚光大。

My very first project was to bring major revamp to the fast expanding but yet experiencing bottleneck of an traditional family run business. With the full support of the then Lian Bee owner cum founder my late father Lee Chwee Chiang, We had changed the entire business model, we brought in new technologies from overseas ie. Japan and Taiwan and embarked on franchising program the very first local bakery which obtained the franchising licence from the relevant authority. At our prime time we operated 35 bakery outlets in the entire of West Malaysia. With the same expanding strategy we had obtained the mooncake OEM contracts from local direct sell giant like Cosway,CNI, Hai-O etc in quick succession to leap frog many local competitor to become one of the three largest moonaceke manufacturer in local market. Later in early 2000, Chris was involved in setting up subsidiary called Xue Ming Food Ltd in Taiwan to engage in the local paste market. Our Pandan Moon cake paste was well accepted and managed to penetrate the highly competitive local bakery market. We obtained our Halal certification and ISO 9002 accreditation in early 2000, Chris as the Business Development Head had his hands on the both projects.
